How we handle it
Water heater out?
No hot water is the call we get most, and usually the fastest to solve. We diagnose the heater on site — pilot, element, thermostat or a tank that is simply done — and either get it running again the same visit or swap it for a new gas, electric or tankless unit sized right for the house. Seventy years of doing it means we carry the parts and know the fix.
Drain cleaning is our specialty — the van says it and we mean it: expert in all types of drain cleaning. Kitchen, bath, laundry, floor drain or the whole main line, we cable and clear the blockage at the source instead of pouring something down it and hoping. We find why it clogged, not just clear it once, so it stays open.
A leak only gets more expensive the longer it runs. We track down leaks minor and major — a dripping fitting, a running toilet, a supply line, a pinhole in a copper run behind a wall — and repair it properly so it stays dry. If water is actively coming in, shut off the main and call us; we come out for that.
A gurgling toilet, sewage backing into a tub or a drain that will not clear anywhere in the house usually means the main sewer or water line, not a single fixture. We clear main-line blockages, camera and locate the trouble, and repair or replace sewer and water lines when a clog is really a broken or root-filled pipe. This is exactly the work we have done here for 70 years.
A wet basement is a sump-pump job, and a failed pump during a storm is an emergency. We install and replace sump pumps, add battery backups so a power outage during the worst storm does not flood you, and handle the waterproofing and drainage that keeps the water out in the first place. Better to fix it before the next big rain than bail after it.
